Pub'd terms of use
Last updated 9 October 2026.
Pub'd is a pub check-in app for you and your mates. It is run by Robbie Bridges and Beth Bridges in London ("we", "us"). These are the rules for using it. If you do not agree with them, do not use Pub'd.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or over. Pub'd is about pubs, and we are not the place for anyone who cannot legally drink in one. One account each, in your own name or a name your mates know you by. Keep your password to yourself; what happens on your account is on you.
What you post is yours
Check-ins, photos, ratings, notes, comments, lists and crawls stay yours. By posting them you let us store them, show them to the people you have chosen to show them to, resize and reformat them, and back them up. Your check-ins are shown to your mates; if you tag a mate and they confirm they were there, the post (without your rating or review) is also shown to their mates. That permission is free, worldwide, and lasts until you delete the thing or your account.
Two things are shown more widely, because that is what they are for:
- Public totals. A pub's average rating, its number of visits and its tags are built from everyone's check-ins, with nobody named.
- Things you choose to make public. A list set to everyone, a list whose link you send, a photo of a pub's front that you submit for its page, credited to you.
We do not sell what you post, and we do not use it in adverts with your name on it.
What not to post
Nothing illegal, hateful, threatening, sexual or harassing. Nothing that is not yours to post. No photos of people who would plainly object. No fake check-ins or ratings, and nothing posted for payment or for a pub you work for without saying so. No spam. Do not try to get at other people's data, break the app, or copy its data in bulk.
Anyone can report a post, a person or a pub's details from inside the app, and block a person: blocking ends the friendship and hides each of you from the other, and they are not told. We look at reports within 24 hours. We can remove anything and close any account that breaks these rules, and for serious cases we will do so without warning.
Pubs, and drinking
Pub details come from OpenStreetMap, from Wikimedia Commons and from people using Pub'd, and they can be wrong: a pub may have closed, moved or changed its hours. Check before you travel. Walking times on a crawl are estimates. Pub'd is not connected to, or endorsed by, any pub or pub company named in it.
Drink responsibly. Look after yourself and the people you are with; a crawl is a suggestion, not a challenge. We are not responsible for what happens on a night out.
Our side
Pub'd is free and is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and correct, but we do not promise it always will be, and we may change or remove features. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from using Pub'd or from being unable to use it. Nothing here limits liability that the law says cannot be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your rights as a consumer are not affected.
The name Pub'd, the pint-glass mark, the app's design and its code belong to us. Using the app does not give you any right to them.
Leaving
Delete your account at any time: You, Settings, Delete account. Everything you created is deleted immediately and permanently, including any pub-front photo you submitted and the lists you made.
Privacy
What we collect and why is in the privacy policy, in Settings and at pubdapp.com/privacy.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Carrying on using Pub'd after that means you accept the change.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can use your own courts.
